Document Preparation/Unitization
This involves not only the removal of staples, paperclips, bindings, etc., but also the intelligent separation of pages into documents. Ideal Trial Solutions (ITS) has developed "Document Preparation Manual" that outlines the parameters used in order to consistently unitize the documents. This manual is subject to any additions, deletions, or addendum's requested by the client.
Imaging/Scanning
Each project requires slightly different needs when it comes to scanning. ITS has adapted the same grading scheme utilized by the document copying industry. We will grade the document set into one of four different scanning levels, Level I being straight feed simple scanning to Level 4 being heavy litigation predominantly glasswork scanning. All scanning is scanned at 300 dpi and 100% QC'd.
Legal Copy Services
We specialize in the process of color and black / white copying. The type of documents we process through our copy center include but are not limited to: Color Photos, Legal Briefs, Depositions, Discovery documentation, and Trial exhibits. The sizes range from 8.5" 1",8.5x14" and 11" x 17". We will accommodate the most demanding copying projects.
Coding/Data Entry
Coding involves the manual data entry of pre-specified data from the documents. This data makes up the core of the searchable database that accompanies the imaged documents. ITS has implemented a minimum of 18 quality control checks at this work center to ensure the highest quality Coding Database possible. In order to achieve the highest level of OCR accuracy ITS recommends inspecting each image to ensure that it is an upright alignment. OCR engines "read" a document from upper left to right, and down the page (just as you and I would read it). In cases where there are charts or articles displayed in a landscape orientation, the OCR engine will return an indecipherable text file that will be of no benefit in doing full-text searches.
Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Indexing
This step involves the generation of a text file form the scanned image, which will allow the end user to run a "full-text search". A full text index is also generated to facilitate speedy and accurate searches.
Video Synchronization
ITS provides affordable video synchronization services. While our video synchronization services are competitively priced, we continue to provide unsurpassed quality. The process of synchronizing text to digital video transcript has been highly standardized in our company. We QC each and every project in it's entirety to ensure the finished product is immediately ready for use in trial. When you are in trial, there is no time to deal with VCR's and videotapes. Having a CD containing your video depositions synched with it's related transcript, will allow immediate retrieval of any segment of the deposition. This process has allowed attorney's to save valuable time for additional case planning.
Video Encoding/Digitization
At ITS we can provide the ultimate in video deposition capture, replication, and presentation. Our process of professionally capturing real-time video and audio through a process called Encoding or MPEG'ing has proven valuable to our clients. Our Encoding/MPEG process allows us to compress any type of video and audio needed for trial and/or any other purposes related to litigation. High quality standards have always been a contributing success in our Encoding/MPEG process. Our Encoding/MPEG services allow easy transfer of VHS Depositions to CD-Rom. Each CD can hold up to 2 hours (650 megabytes) of real-time video. Once the video is transferred to CD, retrieval of the MPEG can be accessed by simply scanning an associated bar code or typing in an identifier. Access to any phrase dialog in the deposition will only take a few seconds. The process of fast forwarding and rewinding of a VCR is eliminated. The VHS to CD tranfer is a neccessity for those involved in intense trial presentation. Being able to have video depositions and video exhibits in CD-Rom format at your fingertips will add clarity and life to any presentation. The end result is that you will have access to any point within the high quality CD-Rom video that can directed from a laptop or desktop computer.
Trial Presentation/Consulting
At ITS we have the technology to specialize in courtroom computerized presentations. Our courtroom presentation knowledge and flexibility allows us to adapt and support several courtroom formats. We have the ability to use several software applications designed to assist us in trial. The greatest advantage Ideal Trial Solutions can provide in trial presentation is the ability to provide technological variation in any courtroom environment.
Trial Graphics/Powerpoint/Animation
ITS uses up-to-date computerized graphic software to make every courtroom presentation professional and adaptable to our client's needs. We have the ability to make each presentation unique using multiple software applications. Trial Graphics include: Time Line's, Exhibit Boards, Large Format Plotting, Custom Graphics, etc.
